Ground tactics

The found of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohsen Sazegara, is now an Iranian expatriate in USA, a journalist and political activists offering tips and tricks on the sideline to the Iranian opposition.
Mohsen Sazegara has been heavily involved in Iranian politics as a deputy prime minister in political affairs, deputy minister for heavy industry, deputy chairman of the budget and planning department.

He moved to UK in 2003 after being released from prison in Iran and later to USA, and he was sentenced in absentia to 7 years of prison with no clear charges.

Today Mohsen Sazegara is a journalist and political activist on the reformist side.
Wolves in hyena's clothing
In the article Which State Security Branch Rules Tehran’s Streets? he supports an anonymous Iranian Basij member's assessment that the split in the ranks of the government loyalists extends not only to clerics and officers in the Revolutionary Guard, but also to the Basij.

“There are many Basijis who were in support of Mousavi,” says an Iran-based analyst who requested anonymity, himself previously an active member of the Basij. “Many Basijis are upset that the recent violence has been attributed to them.”

Former Sepah founder Sazegara concurs, adding that many of the plainclothes controlling the streets and meting out excessive violence to protesters are “intelligence personnel of the Sepah, some of them even with military degrees, but showing up in plainclothes to take on the appearance of the Basij.”
Activism in a repressive environment
Rather than speculate about the dramatic life of Mohsen, probably eventful enough to make for a great novel about love, betrayal, guilt and redemption, let's skip to the chase:

According to a Twitter user who shall remain unnamed for the sake of his safety, Mohsen Sazegara offers these bits of advice with regards to a future strategy for the Iranian protesters.
Convert Sepah and Basij

Find members of Sepah or Basiji in your quarter. Distribute their adress and photos in flyers and post them in Internet.

Try to convince Sepah memebers in quarter that their way is wrong. Show them fotos and movies of brutality in recent riots.

Appeal to their concience! If you are successfull, tell them they could speak with their Basij friends/members also.
Blitz demonstration

Use "Blitz demonstration" from Argentinian student riots. Demonstrate in groups of 40-50 only for a few minutes in busy locations.

If anti-riot forces are confronted only with small groups of short-term rallies all over city, they cannot focus their forces.

A good place to use "Blitz demos" is in the Metro. Anti-riot squad cannot use heavy weapons there. Beware of cameras and avoid getting filmed. Use masks.

Use "Blitz demonstration" in several spots all over city, disperse after a few minutes. Film your action & take photos. Finish with hurra or clapping

Another user on Twitter who seems to have street credibility says a 500 size crowd is enough to make the police run.

A message frequently heard is to time stamp video recordings beyond doubt by filming a front page of a daily newspaper.
3 Day Strikes

Mohsen Sezagara continues:

3-Day-Strike will show intelligence of movement. Regime cannot react. Feast Days are religious, and they're not allowed to break Seclusion.

If Regime breaks Seclusion they break their own religious rules. If they let people strike they will be weakened for sure.

In this way you support detainees indirectly. If enough people don't go to work these 3 days, this will hit.

3-Day-Strike will be a very good trial for future landwide strikes. It's a long way to reach democracy step by step.
Ukrainian Tactics

Use Ukrainian Tactics! Forge official letters with fake regime stamps which testify these days are non-working days!

For sure fake letters will be detected soon, but workers/enterprisers could claim they thought docs were original and followed!

These Ukrainian tactics are very clever to fool the regime administrators and simultaneously do not give them any reason to harm companies.

To all shopkeepers: put a flyer with word "Seclusion" in the pane during feast days and close your shops - show solidarity with all people.
